Cub from CofA to Permit, they said it wouldn't happen…
Rachel Watts wanted to move her Piper Super Cub from a CAA Certificate of Airworthiness (and all the complexity that brings), to an LAA permit. There were plenty who said that it would never happen, but after some diligent form filling and research, Rachel's now the owner of a Super Cub that's part of the LAA fleet.

Brilliant guest. I stayed with Paul in 2017 while on my way round the USA. A sunrise flight the next morning over Lake Tahoe for a photo shoot was one of the highlights of my trip.
That's an underwhelming power-to-weight ratio of 1:1 . 🤦♂ facepalm TurbAero's P2W is 2:1. The price is also twice that of TurbAero's. I'm a triple engineer that invents in energy, engine, propulsion, mobility, robotics and other high-tech arenas. I'm developing novel engines for novel personal air mobility solutions with the ultimate goal of a integrated personal air-land vehicle [iPAL] Look it up... but I'm not on the libtard LinkedIn anymore.

Part of this interview really gave me the giggles. Question - Do you still have a Jet Ranger? Answer - No, I looked this morning and I haven't got one. I guess you have to be a member of Pink Floyd to forget what helicopters you own.
Just subscribed 🎉
Bell 47. The best. 3 seater. 6 cylinder. Love it. Got my lincense in 90 . Burbank California. 35 bx an hour back then. Today it’s 500 bx h. Flight lessons. Just crazy.
Robinson. Suck. No room. To light. Vibrate a lot. But hey when you have do ? You can chose
Nick Mason has always been an interesting gentleman. Great interests in motorsports and aviation.
Worked on and in his house in London lovely man.
How about a video with a gyro-pilot trying to fly a helicopter?
This is click bait when you never get to see the bloody engine
Brendan O'Brien is an absolute legend! 👍
Me and my partner has visited Guy Ritchie's airfield and restaurant. It is a magnificent place, Guy was absent from there when we visited recently. The restaurant menu from a chef's and food writer's point of view ought to be more of a wide choice of cuisines taking into mind with special dietary requirements like diabetes type 2 and type 1 diets. But well done Guy for a wonderful day out.
Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon 1973 ( Iwas 15th yo.) accompanied me through my youth, just like the album Meddle, which was formative for my development in the field of music... Thank you for that...
Didn't he once own a Hunter or a pair of hunter jets? I thought it was weird that wasn't mentioned? Or has the Mandela effect struck again?
As far as I know he didn't. Could have been David Gilmour with Intrepid Aviation?
As i was learning to fly- it was unforgettable to join the momentary laps of reason_Tour at "Valle Hovin" Oslo back in 1988! : Listening to Learning to fly, was unforgettable experience :) Thank you all ! for the Music !
I only recently found out David Gilmour is a pilot. I had no idea Nick Mason was as well. Great story about these two sharing AC resources. That's really cool. Keep the brown side down! Cheers!
"Learning to fly" Pink Floyd.
"Money" Keep your hands off my stash"
Nick Mason’s book on pink floyd, Inside Out is a cracker read. his sense of humour is unique and infectious!
Dark Side of the Moon....my favorite album still. PF were a bunch of talented intellects. Not surprised he got his PPL. Greetings from sunny and warm St. Petersburg, Florida.
Great stuff,I am pleased he is able to support aviation, how about the peoples mosquito project that would welcome some high profile publicity.
Watched this at 5am this morning (Monday 3rd June 2024), so a bit late to the party. Very interesting and very clearly presented presentation. Thankyou.
If he flies as well as he played let's go!
Interestingly I ve just upgraded to the A30 from the A20. Great looking headset and like all Bose products, great quality. Sound quality is better, but my initial thought on the ANR, is that it’s not quite as good as the A20. Does anyone else think that? I fly an RV8.
Anyone associated with Pink Floyd is anti-Semitic.
Ken Wallis beat you to it by about 60 years. Google him up and be amazed.
great presentation Afandi
I was offered a factory new Carbon Design FM250 Vampire II 912 with parachute but analog gauges for 83700€ and it's a good looking plane with aerodynamics to go 240km/h. I thought that was better value than any other plane I know of. And buying it shared with 4 or 8 owners really make the costs manageable or borderline insignificant. I had an Evektor for 2 years including hangar and I felt no financial burden from it and its calendar was wide open because people don't fly that much.
Sorry…lost me after 10 mins…

What a load of entitled crap
The green-eyed monster speaks! Pink Floyd totally deserve every perk their money can afford. The world would be a much poorer place without their wonderful creativity. (My youth was sculpted by their music, so many thanks for that.) I’d really love to hear that PF are supporting WW2 aviation projects like the Mosquito rebuild etc…..
Nothing in your statement mitigates this being a load of entitled piffle
@@jipangoo And obviously if you had accumulated their wealth. You’d spend it all on saving the world and live your entire life modestly wouldn’t you? Of course you would. 👍
@lawts1240 Clearly you don't know what I do for a living
And by the way, don't go putting your thoughts on me!
ruclips.net/video/MHOW8DcJS_M/видео.htmlsi=CIU3dnfAjLuDjLS6 my own £2000 Thruster. Bought for teaching a friend but partly inspired by the wonderful book.
Excelente musico e pessoa. Desejo-lhe tudo de bom.
Taking our turbulence data but not letting us see data above 13k without an extra, extra, subscription is sort of annoying
The whole feature doesn't make much sense if you think about the fact that most users don't have an Internet connection in-flight (or at their destination) and the diversity of routes makes the data less reusable. SkyPath has been doing this for Part 121 ops, but they fly the same routes multiple times a day, more often have sat links for real-time reporting, or at least have a corporate wifi at the terminal.
Nice, I enjoyed this and a great insight into what real success can bring... Well done to Nick for making it work.
The space for your phone is that to use it for SkyDemon?😊
Yup!
Can you please explain how you got the blue shading for the localizer to show up on the map? I cannot figure out where in the setting those approach parts are. Thanks!
What a delightful Man. So humble. Yet a living legend of the rock world. I too hated to fly and made my wife miserable when we traveled. So I decided to take a flight lesson to try to gain control of the anxiety. We now own a Mooney M20J that we love to fly. I didn't know that David Gilmour was also a pilot. Thanks for all the great content.

@@jeffsimon9594 Thanks Geoff!🤣
@@JonMulveyGuitar How very dare you sir
@@jeffsimon9594 Jeff you are good sport. And a thorough fact checker. Any Pink Floyd fan is a friend of mine.
Good stuff. Was a pilot myself so this is very interesting. Just to look at him and hear him makes me have to go listen to his work on "Time", from Dark Side... Best timing and instrumentation I've ever heard.
You might wanna broaden your listening then
